Barcelona Holiday Accommodation - The Future

Barcelona has, since 1992, had the most remarkable success with tourism. In 2007 there were over 7 million visitors according to offical figures from Barcelona's Tourism authorities. Little wonder perhaps that both Girona and Barcelona airports are undergoing large expansion schemes.

A feature of Barcelona's success has been the wide diversity of nationalities attracted to the city, helped by the fact that there are now so many different nationalities calling Barcelona home. Another success factor has been the constant improvement and change perhaps personafied by the constant building at the Sagrada Familia.

But what of the future in these turbulent times? With economic uncertainty in all the major economies, the credit crunch, weak dollar and the price of oil (which will affect air fares soon) will probably take it's toll.

For the last 15 years there has been a demand for Holiday Accommodation in Barcelona and for a small minority this has lead to a relaxation of standards in both service and the quality of the accommodation. This will have to change and improvements made, a fact we are really pleased about.

There is one glimmer of hope. Whilst the numbers coming from the UK, US etc will probably fall we have already noticed that tourists from Eastern Europe and the Far East are starting to realise the beauty and benefits of beautiful Barcelona.

Another bright spot for visitors, although less so for apartment owners and agencies is that the price of staying in an apartment in Barcelona is falling.

We look forward to welcoming all our visitors to Barcelona.
